Being a creative mama means I also make art often with my kids. They also bring art galore home from school daily, particularly my preschooler. Displaying their creations is a way I can love them, but I also know I can’t display all of it. Here are a few ways I tame the volume of creativity flowing through our home…
DISPLAY
We have one area that I can keep art moving through - simple ribbons attached to nails (command strips work too) strung across a large open wall space, with clothespins, pictured above. You can find artwork displays in my etsy shop here.
STORE
Every day the artwork of the day goes in a basket in the family room.
EDIT
2-3 times per year, I sort by child, then recycle items we are finished with (shhhh)
SAVE
Each child has a keepsake bin, sorted by grade I save favorite artwork, stories, school photos, report cars and mementos. Later on, I may make an art photo album for each child and only save the originals of just a few.
