On Finding JOY in the Midst

I’m so excited to have completed the coursework to become a Professional Member of NAPO - the National Association for Productivity and Organizing Professionals. Y’all, this feels like a long time coming. I first pulled up the NAPO website and ordered a “binder” about starting my own organizing business back in 2006. TWELVE YEARS AGO!

I sure hope that encourages to you to never give up, and keep listening to those dreams in your heart. I wasn’t ready in 2006 - I had a good deal to learn and A LOT of self confidence to build. Plus, I had family and friends and bosses that have cheered me on to be my best self.

Creating handmade gifts and selling at markets and on etsy was one the important steps in putting myself out there that has led to more one on one work with clients in their homes.

Creating handmade gifts and selling at markets and on etsy was one the important steps in putting myself out there that has led to more one on one work with clients in their homes.

I have always craved Order and Organization and Art, however it wasn’t without the encouragement of others that I realized I could use these passions to help families in their own space, to tell their story with intentionality and joy in the midst.

There are so many ways to make your home display your interests and work well for you. I love helping families figure that out and shift frustrating spaces into rooms that make them smile so they can enjoy their people. Whether it’s tackling one room at a time, setting up a 30 day challenge, or applying a simple “one in, one out” rule, I realize different approaches work for different people.

If you know of friends or family who have expressed frustration about “too much stuff”, a room that just won’t get done, have a missing piece that could help complete their vision, or someone who just needs a game plan for all their DIY dreams, I’d love if you passed along my name. I’m now booking clients for January, a great time to create calm in your home.

Thanks for all the support + love, friends! May we each experience the Joy in our Midst with creativity and calm.
