With baby number 3 on the way, some room shuffling was on the docket for this growing family. To begin, big sister was ready for a room refresh. This was another example of my favorite game, furniture musical chairs! We shifted pieces between 3 bedrooms, added a coordinating dresser and fun curtains to the daughters’s space, styled a gallery wall, and organized the closet and toys.

Big brother was moving out of the nursery. He liked the purple walls in the guest bedroom, so we worked around that, repurposed the bed plus big sister’s old dresser and chair. The storage bookshelf moved from the closet, providing toy storage with some Dollar Tree bins. As our families evolve I LOVE making what you already own work for you in a new way. The closet has plenty of room to grow, as well as being perfect for a reading area.

When it come sot kids, I love providing as many opportunities as possible for them to be independent when it comes to keeping their room tidy. Keeping toy storage on their level, and even adding visual labels to drawers helps them put away their own laundry. Win win for momma!
